CrossFit Bristol – Professional coaching in CrossFit

The CrossFit Beginners Course consists of a 2 hour foundation sessions building the requisite skills and theory to begin CrossFit training.  The CrossFit Foundation course includes short theory blocks on nutrition, movement,  and the crossfit methodology.

You will spend time learning the mechanics (skills and technique), methodology and learning  a little about nutrition.  Once you are confident and able to perform the movements with consistency, we then gradually build intensity on training.  On a typical Crossfit sessions  you will be introduced to new skills and a unique work out of the day (WOD). These will skills and physical intensity gradually increase in difficulty over time and you the athlete need to understand when to work harder and when to do an easier progression.

Why cant I just turn up to a CrossFit session ?

CrossFit consistently outperforms conventional gyms on any measure of fitness you care to chose.  The powerful combination of movements, community, variety and intensity provide a powerful recipe for training. The downside is that untrained, unsound athletes are prone to over training and injury without a good grounding in the basic movements.

To get the most out of CrossFit training, members must be able to safely perform a range of movements and exercises, but just as importantly understand what the progressions are involved and know when to drop to easier versions of a movement.

  1. Hi my name is callum ross-jennins and im a personal trainer in weymouth.
just wanted to know does this course certifie you to become a crossfit trainer?
or is it just a crossfit course to learn methods and techniques?

    • Hi Callum.
Crossfit do an affiliate course – its 2 days and covers the basic movements. It’s nothing like the PT course in terms of depth but its a requirement for affiliates.
      Hope that helps.

      • hello so if i do this 35 pound course will i be qualified to teach if not what course do i need to do and how much will it cose and how long will it last? thanks

      • Hi.

A basics Crossfit course wont qualify you to teach I am afraid.

You need to do a Level 1 course with Crossfit and a level 3 fitness certification (typically).

        Good luck.
